its good to finally be in command of the USS Sovereign the leader in her class of vessel. so far so good we are currently travelling at warp speed nine to the outer sector to monitor the construction of a new starbase and to also watch out for Romulan movements in the sector.

if i find anything unusual happening i shall alert Admiral Janeway immediately .

Admiral Reece, be on the look out for The Prometheus.
She was sent on a hirogen hunting mission.
But we havent heard anything from Admiral Tyler in days.
Its a covert operation, he may be keeping communications silence, but he is a bit of a rogue and may take matters into his own hands.

we have just arrived at the outer sector to oversee the construction of the new starbase but much to my amazement there area is deserted and there is no trace of wepons fire or even Romulan or Federation warp signatures.

im sending a away team to the starbase to examine what has happened on there ..

"I've just had an encoded transmission at HQ from Admiral Jack, it was a bit garbled, but he told me not to panick and that he'd traced the hirogen near the cardassian border, the strange thing is there was alot of interference I hear the red alert siren and a lot of screaming and that was it.... nothing!"

NO Tyler you will not go searching about unknown locations ! its your constant 'taking matters into your own hands' method that got you in this problem and seriously endangering your crew !

I've just had a communication from Admiral Taylor telling me he's chasing the Prometheus.
he told me Admiral Tyler is taking matters into his own hands and placing the crew in danger.
I know it wasa dangerous mission to send him on, but something tells me theres more to it, Jack cant be that irresponsible surely, and analysis of the transmission from Jack says they were hit by a shock wave.
I have my doubts about this, maybe they really are missing.

Well I cant raise The Prometheus on any channel lets hope Admiral Taylor can figure it out!

already alot has happened in a few short hours, placing an away team on the construction on a new yet deserted starbase and then having to race across space to try and find Admiral Tyler and his crew..

i am worried if im honest because Tyler said he was hit by a shock wave but just like Janeway im unsure.. his ship is a prototype whats to say the ship isnt experiencing malfunctions? .. malfunctions that will not tell then their current location..

yet knowing how Tyler is this could be lies just so he can explore and not report his findings to us?

i just hope im not putting my crew and the Sovereign in danger in going on this dare i say rescue mission.

thats odd why would a entire building force be evacuated with out informing Starfleet HQ.. it is remarkably strange.. no engine signatures aye.. Nik do you think these 'freighters' had cloaking ability's?

Nik we cant make assumptions like that .. YET even though is could be a likely story. well you have Voyager watching your backs. try calibrationg your triquators with her long range scannors to see what else you can find. mean while im having to play duck duck goose with Admiral Tyler trying to locate him deep in Cardassion space.

Seven "The signatures dont match any known transporter pattern that we are aware of, they do appear slightly out of phaze though, Im not sure what happened to the crew but I will keep investigating"

Nik: "Phaze variance, in what way, subspace, another time what?"

Seven: "As I said I need more accurate reading to make a determination"

after having another transmission from the starbase it does seem more than likely a Romulan ship has taken captive the building crew.. no one knows why or even how but Seven and Nik have noticed that something keeps appearing and then disappearing on the sensors.. could this really be a cloaked Warbird or possibly a Romulan fleet spying on Voyager and the away team.. i need to locate Tyler ASAP so i can get back to the outer sector and rejoin Voyager incase of a surprise attack! with only 3 Federation ships active at the moment and one lost we could use all the help we can get.

after looking at the Scimitars schematics its quite easy to see why the Romulans left no traces behinde.. they clearly have created a Scimitar/Warbird hybrid.
