Seven whats the nature of this emergency?

*AFTER CALIBRATING THE AWAT TEAMS TRI-CORDERS WITH OUR SENSORS ON VOYAGER AND RUNNING REPEAT SCANS IT HAS BECOME 100% CLEAR THAT THE STARBASE WAS INTERCEPTED BY THE ROMULAN HYBRID AND WHILE IN ITS CLOAK IT BEAMED THE ENTIRE CONSTRUCTION CREW ABOARD, THE REASONS OF WHICH ARE STILL UNKNOWN*

I KNEW IT! .. i knew the Romulans couldn't be trusted again... right im going to notifiy Admiral Janeway back at Starfleet HQ straight away!! after which i have to find Admiral Tyler and get back to your location.. let me know if anything else comes up

at ease, is there any explanation why we have picked up weapons fire in a area where there should have been a shock wave?

*SO FAR SIR THE LOGICAL EXPLANATION IS THAT THE SHOCK WAVE DIDNT IN FACT COME FROM THE WORMHOLE BUT FROM A MISS CALIBRATED WEAPONS SYSTEM ON BOARD THE USS PROMETHEUS*

a miss calibrated weapons system? why would Tyler lie ok i know hes a proud man but on the other hand Prometheus is only a prototype and these things are expected. but with all that understood it still doesnt explain why or who he was firing on!.

great just what we need when we already are having problems with the Romulans on the bright side we may have the chance to see just how powerful Sovereign is but thats a last resort at all costs!.. ensign set a course to intercept and lets hope we can stop the possible outcome of war with the Cardassions.. Admiral good to hear from you!

I suspected the Romulans might be behind this, it was rather odd we hadnt heard anything from the station builders for some time.
Its not like it was a secret or anything.

Speaking of secrets I know Tyler can be trigger happy but I wonder why.

Ok Im going to break out my shuttle and head out to assist 7.

As son as the commander is abourd I will send out the Defiant to assist you.

In the meantime see what you can do, but avoid confrontation if you can.

Janeway Out!

Admiral Janeway has taken her stealth shuttle to rendevouz with Voyager near Romulan space.

She is waiting to hear from HQ when the commander of the defiant arrives.

Meanwhile she receives a transmission from 7 aboard Voyager. It contains sensor reports of the region,
they suggest a cloaked Romula Scimitar hybrid is somewhere in the region.
But on further scans pieces of debris from the freightors were found.
But not as you would expect, this debris was almost diliberate.
Almost as if the captain of the freightor had beamed personal items into space shortly before capture to leave some kind of clue.

There was a data node and a tri-corder in the debirs field, 7 says they were damaged but she is attempting to recover the data.

Admiral Janeway has arrived and is lurking behind Voyagers shuttle bay.

"Janeway to Voyager" hails the admiral

"Seven here Admiral where are you?"

"Im in my shuttle directly facing the shuttle bay, open the doors and I'll come aboard"

"Aknowledged...... Ensign Vorak open the shuttle bay doors"

"Aye Ma'am.... doors open" replies the ensign.

"You're cleared for docking Admiral"

As Admiral Janeway docks in the shuttle bay First officer Nik is entering the bridge

"Report!" he yells

"Admiral Janeway is aboard Sir" replies 7

"Great meet her in Astrometrics and work on those scans and repairing the damaged data node" - Nik

"I was just on my way there" replied 7 with a swift smirk as she enters the turbo lift

As a whitty comment back Nik yells "and no fighting haha, you 2 work good together but I know you can butt heads often"

The turbolift doors close and moment later 7 and the Admiral arrive at astrometrics and begin work.

Seven and Admiral Janeway are in the astrometrics lab on Voyager.

They have analysed the various bits of debris and managed to reconstruct most of the data on the tri-corder and data nodes.

One of the freightors managed to record the cloaking frequency of the hybrid as she decloaked and got a full schematic of her design, particularly shields and weapons capabilities.

With use of the data they managed to recalibrate the sensors.

"Well I'll be damned" claimed Admiral Janeway.
"There she is"

"Indeed" replies Seven "What shall we do now?"

"Keep an eye on them for now, we'll hatch a plan.... Janeway to bridge!"

"Nik her Admiral!"

"Report to astrometrics, we've found something you might be interested in" -Janeway

"On my way Nik out"

Upon entering the lab Nik's jaw drops.
There on the view screen, not only the hybrid, but the entire, well 75% built, Starbase.

The base was almost complete when the romulas arrived, they've integrated their cloaking system into the starbase and taken control.
The freightor wasnt tracktored, it was entering the starbase as it cloaked, it couldnt transmit any data incase it was discovered so the freightor captain recorded the information to the data node and beamed it into near by space before it entered the cloaking field.

Turns out they were right next to them the whole time.

"So now whats the plan" asks Nik

"We should keep scanning, we dont want to tip our hand and let them know we've found them, act like we're still looking, infact widen the search. Hopefully we can find a way to get in and rescue the construction crew and re-take the station" replies Janeway

"Admiral... Commander" interupts Seven

"What is it" Janeway & Nik say at the same time

"I've managed to get more data from the tricorder, it has information of a transporter bay on the lower deck of the starbase thats been isolated from the rest of the system, and a frequency for the freightor captains com-badge" explains Seven

"Well surely they would have figured out the transporter by now, we cant risk it just yet" says Janeway

"And if theres a com frequency why havent they tried to contact us knowing we're out here" enquires Nik

Just as Admiral Janeway is about to answer Seven Abruptly says
"The likely hood is they have been captured and are being held in a security cell somewhere and either dont know we are here, cant communicate or both"!

"That annnnnd" Janeway says glaring at Seven then turning back to the commander "according to the information on this device it says the transporter is still active and the buffer is full, he may have stored him self in transporter suspended animation.... and according to these scans its running a continuous self diagnostic loop, chances are the captain allowed the crew to go in, masquarading one of his officers as captain while he hid away un-noticed"

"I've locked onto the buffer, do you think we can risk re-materialising the captain to communicate with him" asks Seven

"Well its a case of chicken and egg, we cant communicate with him until we get him, and we cant get him until we communicate with him" Say Nik

"Do it!" says Janeway but keep the transporter buffers active, make a simultanious transport and make it look like a glitch incase they notice, beam the captain, or who ever it is directly here"

Seven dances her fingers over the controls and almost immediately The freightor captain appears in astrometrics.

"Oh finally I thought I'd be stuck in that thing forever, I see you found my bread crumbs" screams the freightor captain.

"Bread crumbs?" ask Seven with a raised eye brow

Nik was about to explain but Janeway laughs and says
"Never mind that now lets get to work, its good to see you Captain"

Ten year old Kathryn Voyager Janeway, known affectionately as Katty, Kitten, Goldenbird and Princess, was in the Janeway Quarters studying. The daughter of Admiral Kathryn Janeway had recently lost her father Chakotay while he was shielding some Vulcan children. An even bigger blow was while she and Lieutenant Tanna Halliwell, her best friend, God-daughter to the Admiral and exceptional Ops Officer were on shore leave with Tanna's children, her godchildren Adalynn and Talon, Tanna had been approached by an enemy who had wanted to kill her children if she didn't join them. Tanna fought bravely while Katty used her Magickal shield, the same one she had inherited from her late father, to shield herself and the kids. She had watched helplessly as Tanna was killed. Afterward, she had returned to Voyager, quite shaken up and informed the crew of the fallen Lieutenant's whereabouts, retrieving Tanna's body and getting it ready for Memorial rites. Kat had performed the Eulogy and had written it herself as well as performed the duty of Commander Tuvok during this time for the Honor Guard. Using the music of the 21st century metal band My Dying Bride, Kat had the violin parts removed so that she, on her Stradivarius violin, could play those parts flawlessly, using all the love that she had for Tanna within her.

Katty was upset and a flashback of the ordeal caused her to let out a piercing, tormented scream.

Kat had many a gift she isnt aware of yet, but one she is aware of is the ability to shift from place to place instantly at a simple thought.
So upon asking the computer to locate the Admiral, Kat folded her arms and disappeared in a flash of light and immediately appeared in Astrometrics.

Already conciosuly aware of kats screams, as Kat appeared the Admiral simply carried on with her duties, but the rest of the crew still unacustomed to this were startled.

The freightore Captain, although hearing about Kat had never seen it happen let out a huge yelp.
Which given that Kat had just had a nightmare made Kat scream also.

Seven of Nine looked at Kat and commented
"Children arent supposed to be in restricted areas we have work to do not run a nursery"!

Admiral Janeway replied "Well I thought you of all people would be more understanding, after all it wasnt that long ago I had to nurse you back to an individual and your self assist the borg children did you not?"

"Yes but that doesnt help our situation at the moment we dont need any distractions" replied Seven

"Actually I think, if we're careful and if Kat is willing she could be of some use to us right now" said the Admiral

Turning toward kat and sitting her on the astrometrics platform she says "Kitten we will talk later about your nightmare but right now I could use your help.... do you feel upto the task"

Other than actually requiring Kats abilities the Admiral was also trying to take her mind off the nightmare.

"What do you want me to do?" Katty asked her mother. She wasn't sure what use her powers could be to this mission. She turned to Seven. "I was not aware that Astrometrics was restricted." She turned back to the Admiral. "Mommy, I don't know what you want me to do. I don't even know what I can do. You know I've only just recently been realizing my powers."

She turned to the freighter Captain. "I am sorry that I just apparated into Astrometrics like this." She apologized.

Kat still shaking from her nightmare but slightly calmer agree's and asks what it is she needs to do.

The freightor Captain starts to laugh and says to Kat "Its ok I just wasnt expecting it thats all"

The Admiral turning to Kat and laughing at the Freightor Captain says
"We need someone to go aboard the Starbase undetected. We have located where they are being held, we need to get a team in but cant risk the Romulans detecting a transport. The Freightor crew and the Starbase builders are being held in this section" says Janeway pointint to the screen.
"If you can get there and release them, lead them to this weaons locker, then we may stand a chance of re-taking the Starbase"

Kat still a little unsure nodds her head and agrees.
The only reason she agreed to enter such a dangerous mission that normally only qualified operatives would do, is because she knew her mother would with her watching. And that she could sneak in without being noticed and would then have the other officers, including Voyager's First Officer Commander Manda King, to protect her should something go wrong.

Kat wasn't really sure about this. She was after all only ten years old. And how would the Voyager crew be able to get there without the use of transport? She was only able to apparate herself at the moment.
" But I'm just a little girl... I can't do all that, Mommy..." She said with a frown. "Is there another way? Disabling their weapons array maybe?"

Turning to Kat and giving her a huge hug the Admiral says

"All you need to do is go to this control panel and release Commander King from her cell, she will help you do the rest, you will need to stay with her and give her the information I've just told you, she will look after you, we have a com frequency so we can communicate with them so if you want to you can return to Voyager as soon as you have released the Commander and told her what she needs to know"

With that Kat still frowning folds her arms and *Flash* she's gone!

Kat immediately went to free Commander King. On her way she was stopped by the Romulans. She took a breath and muttered a spell. She didn't like to use her powers for things like this but this time was warranted as it was in defense for herself and the crew. "Miasma Vaporum Etherum Vatum!" She cried and smoke was emitted from her hands in the spell-casting position (the index and pinky fingers extended and pointed at the Romulans, wrists crossing slightly.) She puffified them and as such was able to return to her task. Once she freed Commander King, she re-puffified the Romulans but they did not remember that she had entered the Starbase. She told Commander King and the other prisoners her mother's orders and apparated herself back to Voyager.

Having apparated back to Voyager, she went straight back to Astrometrics and told her mother what happened. "The Romulans... They... they saw me and went to capture me... but I puffified then, Mommy.... putting them in suspended animation... After I freed Commander King and the others, I told them your instructions and then had to use Re-puffification to return the Romulans to solid form. They had no memory of any of us being there so I think that it may be easier for Commander King and the others to regain control."

Once after Kat had freed Commander King from the cell - the Commander was then led to the weapons locker by Kat to arm herself and the Freightor crew so they could go and capture the Romulans.

With the Romulans caputured the Commander then marched them off the Starbase but not before the Commander asks the Romulans it the transporter room 'I thought there was a alliance between the Federation and Romulans??? Why did you change it?' The Romulan then turned on the transporter pad and was transported off without saying a word to the Commander.
