We've heard rumour Roumlans plan to invade our sector. particularly one of our new star bases currently being constructed.

Patrol that sector, keep your eyes open and protect the development of the new starbase.

They think the starbase is a secret listening post to spy on them.
But its simply a starbase of operations for ships in the outer regions like yours.

Unfortunately at the moment if you require any repairs you will have to report back to space dock until the new starbase is complete, they do have basic repair facilities but not much at the moment.

ahh i see .. those Romulans want any excuse to start conflict! but i will be damned if they try start one with the Federation!

Admiral i have had word from the starbase.. i have attached my conversation with my first officer to let you know of our discoveries . i hope this can be f some use? at the moment we are racking our brains trying to figure this out .. it just doesn't make any sense..

also im still on the search for Tyler, so far the Sovereign has handled travelling at warp 8 for 2 hours very well.

Nik great to hear from you at long last, have you discovered why the base and surrounding area were left deserted?

*WELL... YES AND NO, WE HAVE FOUND OUT THAT THE ENTIRE BUILDING FORCE WERE EVACUATED ONTO SUPPLY FREIGHTERS DUE TO A APPARENT INCOMING ROMULAN WARBIRD. WE KNOW THIS FROM LOOKING AT THE TRANSPORTER RECORDS BUT IT STILL PUZZLES ME THAT NO ENGINE SIGNATURES OF ANY KIND WERE LEFT BEHIND*

thats odd why would a entire building force be evacuated with out informing Starfleet HQ.. it is remarkably strange.. no engine signatures aye.. Nik do you think these 'freighters' had cloaking ability's?

Nik we cant make assumptions like that .. YET even though is could be a likely story. well you have Voyager watching your backs. try calibrationg your triquators with her long range scannors to see what else you can find. mean while im having to play duck duck goose with Admiral Tyler trying to locate him deep in Cardassion space.

it diesnt sound like your average warbird but there are rumours of a ship that can operate cloaked, but it isnt a standard cloak, remember the thinktank i encountered that could place its self in subspace. if shinzons ship is anything to go by who knows what the romulans have come up with.
luckily you have voyager with you she's preped for this kind of work.
get 7 on the job. if they're out there she'll find them

Admiral i hope this is a secure channel? well ive just had a emergency messaged from seven on board Voyager telling me that -

AFTER CALIBRATING THE AWAT TEAMS TRI-CORDERS WITH OUR SENSORS ON VOYAGER AND RUNNING REPEAT SCANS IT HAS BECOME 100% CLEAR THAT THE STARBASE WAS INTERCEPTED BY THE ROMULAN HYBRID AND WHILE IN ITS CLOAK IT BEAMED THE ENTIRE CONSTRUCTION CREW ABOARD, THE REASONS OF WHICH ARE STILL UNKNOWN

and to add to the troubles it was discovered that Tyler has lied to us YET AGAIN it wasnt a wormholes shock wave that hit his ship all .. i have attached our conversation from the bridge of the USS Sovereign.. also we are on our way to intercept and solve any 'mishaps'

SO FAR SIR THE LOGICAL EXPLANATION IS THAT THE SHOCK WAVE DIDNT IN FACT COME FROM THE WORMHOLE BUT FROM A MISS CALIBRATED WEAPONS SYSTEM ON BOARD THE USS PROMETHEUS*

a miss calibrated weapons system? why would Tyler lie ok i know hes a proud man but on the other hand Prometheus is only a prototype and these things are expected. but with all that understood it still doesnt explain why or who he was firing on!.

*ADMIRAL! WE HAVE LOCATED THE PROMETHEUS SHES IN COMBAT WITH A CARDASSION CRUISER A SHORT DISTANCCE FROM HERE*

great just what we need when we already are having problems with the Romulans on the bright side we may have the chance to see just how powerful Sovereign is but thats a last resort at all costs!.. ensign set a course to intercept and lets hope we can stop the possible outcome of war with the Cardassions.. FULL SPEED .. ENGAGE !!

I suspected the Romulans might be behind this, it was rather odd we hadnt heard anything from the station builders for some time.
Its not like it was a secret or anything.

Speaking of secrets I know Tyler can be trigger happy but I wonder why.

Ok Im going to break out my shuttle and head out to assist 7.

As son as the commander is abourd I will send out the Defiant to assist you.

In the meantime see what you can do, but avoid confrontation if you can.
