Kat:
kat has been staying with deanna for a while, whilst the admiral has been on her personal away mission.
They are now enroute to the new starbase aboard a galaxy class ship, renamed the USS TELAXIA.
To meet the return of the admiral.

*The Story and the beginning of the adventures onboard Starbase 157 Alpha*

Captain Daniels has been aboard the starbase now for a few days, accompanied by Lt.Barkley & Icheb.
Daniels is just walking into the command room when he looks out of the port view and screams, making Reg jump out of his skin, "What the frell is that!!!....REG!"

"Ah just on time!" Replies Reg.
"Lt, explain" commands Daniels.
"Well I would Sir but I think the person on the vessle that is about to emmerge would rather tell you in person" says reg rushing over to the sensor data console next to Captain Daniels.

Captain Daniels looks down and as he starts to say "that looks awfully like a..."
Reg shuts down the control panel and locks it out.

"Reg!!" shouts Daniels "How dare you!"

"Sorry Sir I have my orders and you'll be pleasantly surprized"

Just then Captain Daniels own ship, along with The Telaxia drop out of warp and enter the starbase.

"And Im sure they are here for a reason too?" says Daniels with a raised eyebrow at Reg.

Reg shys away starting to stutter and says "Ah All will, will be revealed S Sir"

In a flash of light a small vessle emmerges de-cloaking from the odd looking vortex it created.

Daniels is a little dumbfounded and taken back. He starts to stutter a little being startled
"its, its the...Reg its.... its her!!"
Just then the starbase is hailed and on screen flashed the image of Admiral Janeway in her stealth shuttle.

"Hello everyone, Hope you all didnt miss me too much, Ah Captain Daniels just the person I wanted to see" says Admiral Janeway
"Your shuttle is cleared to dock Admiral" says Reg
"I'll meet you in the docking bay Admiral" says Captain Daniels
"No need Captain" replies the Admiral as she beams her self to the command center of the starbase "Reg have my shuttle tractored into the docking bay, and give her the once over will you Reg thats a darling!" she smiles at Reg.
"Right away Ma'am" replies Reg as he engages the tractorbeam on the Admiral's shuttle.

Turning to look at Captain Daniels, looking him stern straight into the eye the Admiral says "So.....Daniels, how are you" pausing to look around she continues "settling in I see, hows HQ, still in one piece I hope?"

Before Daniels could respond a transporter beam appears in the command centre, it was Deanna & Kat.
No sooner had the transporter beam dispersed Kat ran upto the Admiral shouting "Mummy!!! I missed you" wrapping her arms tightly around her mum she says aloud "Can we fly your new ship now?"

Barely recovering from being glomped by Kat, the Admiral embraces Kats arms, putting them by her side, then putting her finger to her mouth and replies "Shh no she's not ready yet" finishing with a wink then standing again to face Captain Daniels.

"New ship Admiral?" enquires Daniels with a raised suspicious eyebrow.
"Oh nothing dont worry Kat always gets excited when she sees me after I've been away for so long" replied Admiral Janeway

The truth is the Admiral didnt want to spoil any surprizes or reveal too much at the moment, after all it was an experimental starbase. The reason she also didnt want the Captain to meet her in the docking bay or he would have surely seen the new constructions. Well there is a cloaked section that you cant really see with area's off limits to certain crew, but its on the way.

"The Telaxia is docking now Admiral ready to begin work" interupts Deanna.
"Ah thankyou Deanna, ask Reg to being work immediately we need her ready as soon as possible" orders the Admiral
"Yes Ma'am" replied Deanna walking over to a comms console.

Captain Daniels is a little bemused, the Admiral's shuttle appearing out of a blinding vortex, a huge Galaxy Class ship designated The Telaxia and alot of apparent secret goings on around the starbase.

The Admiral & Captain Daniels are talking about his time at HQ and the starbase.
"So Captain have you had the tour of our new base yet" asks Admiral Janeway with a glimmer in her eye hoping he hadnt. She wouldnt mind if he had but it would spoil a few surprises.

"No Admiral, infact Reg has had me so busy I barely had time to leave the office" replied Daniels
"I hope he hasnt been working you too hard, you're going to need all your energy" laughs the Admiral watching a slight puzzled expression fill the Captains face
He shakes his head and replies "Im a little tired but nothing a good nights sleep wont cure Im sure"
"Excellent" again laughs the Admiral continuing to say "but you wont want to sleep just yet theres a few things I need to show you and .... we need to talk" she says in a more stern voice

By now she must have Captain Daniels mind spinning wondering just what The Admiral looks so serious about, what has he done, it cant be that bad for her to trust him with the entire fleet, but it must be bad by the way she talks and looks as she talks. Or just maybe, he thinks to him self, its one of the Admiral's rouses, poker faces, something she's hiding, Kat did mention a new ship, at any rate he was about to find out.

As they were talking Reg rushes in with a data pad and a medkit, throwing the medkit on the desk and grabbing a tricorder.

"Admiral the engines are hot, readings are off the scale" scanning the Admiral "and your neural patterns" says Reg in an almost panick state.
"Im fine Reg, and I did push her a little" replies Janeway
"A little what did you do take her all the way to Andromeda & Back" asks Reg almost screaming with hysteria
"Admirals perogative, quite fitting concidering its the new name for our ship" she says and quickly stands straight "anyway Im fine" she says hoping Daniels didnt over hear.
Daniel at this point was too deep in thought so luckily didnt hear the conversation, or did he, he snaps back into the room stirs at the Admiral and Reg and says
"Engines, ship.....neural patterns??? Admiral whats going on? and Beg your pardon for asking so bluntly but what is so important you need to talk to me about, and why is there a Galaxy class ship in a secured area and mores the point renamed The Telaxia?"

"Captain....at ease before you sprain something" laughs Janeway as she puts her hand on Daniels arm, thats holding his head as if his head is about to explode.

"Reg dont you have work to conduct" she winks at Reg
"Oh ahhhh ofcourse yes, yes I mean ah yes I do" stutters Reg
As the Admiral distracts Daniels attention Reg jabs Daniels with a hypo spray.
"OUCH!!!" cries Daniels.
As he shouts he jumps back and puts his hands on a console, though no one sees his hand they just see him jump a little.

The station comes alive and shudders violently, All the red alert claxons sound and the ships computer starts yelling above the sirens.
"TACTICAL ALERT, WARNING BORG VESSLE DETECTED, AUTO SEPERATION IN 30 SECONDS"
"Warning........"

Everyone is rushing around to various consoles and beginning scans. Captain Daniels is still stunned from the hypo so is motionless. as everyone bustles around him
Reg frantically screaming "The Borg! The Borg!!!"

As Captain Daniels is realising whats happening he springs to attention and rushes over to the sensor data console.
"This is odd" he exclaims
"Captain?" shouts the admiral.
"Im not detecting any vessles of anykind, except our own, and why would the station be detecting borg I thought..."
He stops mid sentance, his ears pin back slightly and he twists his head, everyone turns to look.

Its Kat she is sat in a chair giggling her head off like she'd just been tickled or something, she cant stop laughing, she can barely breath she is laughing so much.

"This is no time for children Admiral" says Captain Daniels
"Hold on a moment" replies the Admiral "Kat whats wrong?" asks Janeway almost impatiantly incase there is a vessle on approach.

"Its, hahaha, it was, omg hahaha" she still cant speak.
"Kat what is so funny!" screams everyone
"hahah Im sorry its Captain Daniels" she says barely catching her breath.
"Go on" asks Janeway
"When Reg gave him the hypo spray his hand hit the auto seperation console, hahaha, its a false alarm, heheheheheh"
Everyone looks at their consoles to check and the Admiral finally says "Computer stand down tactical alert"
The computer aknowledges "Auto seperation sequence de-activated, all systems normal"

Kat was the only one who had seen Daniels do this. Now everyone is laughing hysterically, even Reg....well mid checking his pulse and hyperventilating, clutching a desk with his other hand leaning he chuckles "Well I guess it was my fault....Sorry everyone..whooooo, catastrophy avoided"

"Did you get what you need Reg?" asks the Admiral
"Yes Ma'am, Im on it" he replies as he leaves the command centre.
The doors no sooner close behind Reg as Captain Daniels says "Admiral, the hypo....what does Reg need?"
"Its time for our little chat" says the admiral leading Daniels by the arm over to a huge comfy sofa where Kat was sitting earlier.
Captain Daniels follows and sits down, rather nervously.
"Coffee?" asks Janeway
"No thankyou" replies Daniels
"Computer....." starts the admiral
"Actually yes I think I might need it" interupts Daniels
with a slight smirk, almost laughing the admiral continues "Computer, Coffee Black, 2 servings"

From the other side of the room "And chocolate Ice cream!"
It was Deanna
"And 1 serving of..."
"Two servings!!!" shouts Kat

"Anymore for anymore!!!" shouts the admiral now in hysterics
"And another coffee please Admiral" shouts Deanna

"Hmmm, Computer, 2 servings of chocolate ice cream and THREE coffee's... Black!"
The replicator spings into action, moments later everything arrives and the admiral jokingly shouts
"The shop is now closed haha" turning to look at Captain Daniels, sitting beside him handing him his coffee, her hands hugging her cup, she takes a sip, savours it for a moment glaring at Daniels and says "Now.... down to business, Im sure your anxious to know what its all about by now"
"Anxious doesnt begin to describe it Admiral" he coughs "but yes please tell me"
She takes another sip of her coffee, as she places her cup on the table she pauses, turns her head up slightly to squint at him, mouth still full of coffee, she gasps and then turns to face him.
"Admiral please the suspense is killing me"
she laughs and finally says "ok but first relax, you're not in trouble, infact I think the work you have done is commendable and exemplary"
Daniels breaths a sigh of relief "well thats some good news I guess" his muscles all suddenly relax and he leans back against the corner of the sofa "but whats the big secret?"

"Well..." starts the admiral "...you know I've been away..." Daniels nodds in aknowledgment "what you dont know is where and why!"
"well its not my place to question an admiral, least of all you, I was told it was a personal mission, but if I may ask, why and ofcourse where, Im guessing it has something to do with our conversation now, or it wouldnt have come up in conversation, and Reg and Kat....." he starts getting a little anxious and remembering Reg gave him a hypo and doesnt know why.

"Relax Captain" says the admiral noticing the tension building again "I've been testing a new means of propulsion, its still in the early stages, and the first of many new designs, its the only one practical at the moment though and needs to be implimented on a larger scale, and not before too long either"

"Yes as you appeared I seen some unusual readings but before I could look Reg shut out all the sensor consoles, but it looked like a ..." Daniels is interupted by the admiral who finishes his sentance by saying
"a slipstream event?"
Daniels nodds again "yes and what did Reg mean by your neural readings being high"

"Well thats the thing, we're testing means of instant travel, or atleast faster than warp, at the moment slipstream is plausable and working, we still havent quite finished tinkering with other modes safely just yet. But slipstream has its problems too though it is safe and useable with some precautions inplace" Daniels interupts
"A neural interface by any chance, like the one in your stealth shuttle" he asks

"Yes, only the neural interface for the slipstream is different from my shuttle" she replies
"Ofcourse" laughs Daniels "Your shuttle has everything, no one is allowed near it"
"I wouldnt say no-one, just a select few" she winks at Daniels as she takes another sip from her coffee "You've barely touched your coffee Captain" she says to again slightly distract him, just incase he is piecing things together.

"As I was saying" continues the Admiral "the interface for the slipstream is linked only to the person commanding the vessle its linked to. Using Voice prints, brain scans & DNA recognition"

"Ah something tells me this is why Reg took a hypo spray....go on Im listening" he says as he leans forward rather intregued.
"Excited Captain?" asks Janeway giggling
"I may be... it all depends on whats next" he replies also giggling a little, yet some how scared too.

"Well..." says the admiral "the hypo isnt simply for the dna or brain scans, normal ship functions can do that anyway" she explains
"I already knew that and yes it did puzzle me needing a hypo for standard opperations" replies Daniels "so whats the hypo for"

"the slipstream drive relies on several technologies, the early drive as was on voyager, borg technology and a little something extra" continues the admiral
"Im not sure I like where this is going" shruggs Daniels leaning over for his coffee, now luke warm.
"The hpyo is an injection of borg nanoprobes....." daniels interupts the admiral and says "I thought it might...but why"
the admiral continues "it implants a synaptic relay so that the commander of the vessle can pilot through the slipstream corridor, without the implant, slipstream is very dicey and vulnerable to stray thoughts, so the drive is designed to react to one person only, it also gives you all sensor data to assist you to pilot"

"Ah makes sense, it all sounds scary though" gulps daniels..."that explains your mission, but why do I get the feeling Im about to be drafted and it doesnt explain the ship in the docking bay" claims daniels

"Well it partly explains my mission, see I wasnt just testing the drive, the drive has set backs its only good over long distances, if its cut too short the engines overload and can cause disruptions all over the ship, and limits warp drive to warp 7 until its had time to cool down, it also plays havok with synaptic functions and neural patterns" the admiral is explaining

"I knew I wouldnt like this" says daniels now panicking

"Dont worry, although it is experimental it is safe.....used correctly, yes I did visit the Andromeda Galaxy, and my my I can tell you its a total eye opener, but that was a pleasure trip to really test the engines" says Janeway

"Sow where have you been if I may ask" daniels looks at the admiral now really paying attention.

"Well I've been back to see Ambassador Neelix on the Telaxian colony" replies Janeway
"Ah this must explain the galaxy ship and her new name" replies daniels really confused.
"Yes, now that we can travel huge distances in a smattering of the time, we're going to be expanding the federation, the telaxians are going to be our first Delta Quadrant members, but while I was there Mr Neelix told me the telaxians want help rebuilding their colony and need ships to hold people and assist in protecting and building, but more than that I hatched a plan for them to retake their homeworld Telaxia" says Janeway

"Hence the name USS Telaxia" shouts daniels
"Exactly" replies Janeway
"But that still doesnt explain what it has to do with me" says daniels puzzled.

"You and Deanna will be taking The Telaxia to the Telaxian colony once her drives have been fitted" Janeway
"On our own!?" cries daniels "no offense admiral but a galaxy class ship needs more than 2 people to run her"
"Not in this instance, the telaxians will be the new crew, and Mr Neelix has been or will be granted role of Captain upon delivery"
Daniels thinks for a moment and says "but I cant grant him that rank...can I"
"You can if its orders from an admiral" says Janeway
"Ah so your sending orders for him to take over once I get there in the database?" he asks
"Something like that" replies the admiral winking at him drinking her coffee

At that moment Reg and Deanna walk upto the admiral and daniels and say "She's Almost Ready Admiral, we estimate another 2 days"
"Any problems?" asks Janeway
"none so far all looks good were virtually green to go" cries Reg excitedly

The admiral and daniels continue to talk, she is asking if he has seen the starbase yet, remembering he hasnt so she takes him on a tour.
First to the propulsion lab, then new technologies lab and finally the secret area near the docking bay.
"Allow me to introduce the first in a line of new ships, though not ready yet, and my own personal little baby, The Warship Andromeda"

Captain Daniels eyes are wide open and his jaw is to the floor, not only a hge warship, but also a ship that looks oddly like voyager, but bigger, almost a sovereign btu apparent romulan shape too, he can just make out the first few letters of her name USS PHO
He shouts "OMG Its The Phoenix"
"Yes indeed" replies the admiral "They're all still in early prodction but I cant wait to take her for a spin"
"Neither can I" says Daniels "I mean sorry ma'am I dont know what I meant"
"Relax Captain I knew what you meant and its ok" she laughs
"Really?!" he asks
"Really" she laughs again
"No I mean like really Really!!!"
"Yes but we have a few things to take care of first."
"Ah ofcourse to work then" he says as admiral Janeway leads him by the arm to the turbo lift back to the command centre, daniels still cant take his eyes off the enormous ships and the chance he might get to test fly them with the admiral.

Stepping off the turbolift everyone is gathered in the command centre
"Good we're all here" says the admiral "now down to business" as she turns to Reg Kat shy's around Deanna
"Im sorry mummy" says Kat quietly
"Sorry for what" asks Janeway twisting her head back round
"I know this was important to you so I kind of made things speed along slightly" replied Kat
"What do you mean" asks Janeway
Reg cant hold his excitement any longer and burst out "SHE'S READY FOR LAUNCH" looking at the admiral slightly dazed and says "you know the Telaxia!!"
"Kat you didnt?" asks Janeway
"Yes mummy" says Kat "I hope you're not mad" she asks hiding behind Deanna
"Mad why would I be mad" replies Janeway hugging Kat "This has put us ahead of schedule thankyou the sooner we get nderway the better"
"Yes well done Kat" say Reg hiding incase she does something to him, she's always teasing Reg.

"So then..." says Admiral Janeway turning to Captain Daniels "Are we ready?" before he can reply she adds "I guess we are....right then now..."
Daniels knows this is it, no turning back, but how can 2 people safely guide a galaxy class ship through slipstream thats tempremental at best to another side of the galaxy

"Daniels, Deanna!" says Janeway
"Yes Admiral" they both reply in tandum
"Report to the Telaxia and take Kat with you" orders the Admiral
"Kat?" asks Daniels
"Yes she will be accompanying you on the journey" replies Janeway
"But forgive me if I ask why?" exclaims daniels
"I'd have thought that would be obvious by now....." says Janeway "... if something should go wrong she can pull you out of it, she can shut the engines down at a moments notice and hopefully avoided a catastrophy, but it wont come to that at best it will just be a ride out for her in the new ship, well ok not so new but a step in the right direction" she says winking at Kat and Daniels

Admiral Janeway pulls Daniels to one side and says "Dont push her, shes still not sure about her abilities and it often scare her, but just a gentle reminder and a bit of persuasion and she will be fine"
Deanna says "Dont worry admiral I know Kat well enough, we've spent quality time together we'll be fine"
"Fine then" says Daniels still dazed by everything "off we go I guess" he says walking out the door

"Not so fast Captain, you havent been dismissed yet" the admiral shouts after daniels as he quickly turns almost tripping back over to her
"Sorry Ma'am, permission to disembark? he asks
"permission denied" replies the admiral "who will hand over command to Neelix on the other side"
"Well me I guess on your orders" replies Daniels
"No!" says Janeway with a smirk "Theres another reason I had Reg bring you here" she laughs.
"Upon your return you will be reassigned" says Janeway
"Reassigned?!" shouts Daniels "But I've barely gotten to know the Bellerophon, no offense Admiral" he says a little calmer
"Oh dont worry..." says Janeway looking him up and down "..you wont be loosing The Bellerophon, but you will be gaining another command"
"Another command?" he asks "how can I run 2 ships at the same time"
"Because Admiral, you will be running this starbase, your ship and managing any fleets within the region, unless commanded by another admiral, but ultimately you will be responsible for this region, but more importantly the starbase and her missions and technologies" says Admiral Janeway wondering if he was listening properly

"Wow I dont know what to say....woahhhhhhhhhhh wait a minute, you just called me Admiral???" he says almost fainting
Everyone gathers around as Admiral Janeway reaches in her pocket for a pin, ripping the existing pins off Daniels uniform.
"You're improperly dressed" she says going on to say "I here by promote you to the Rank of Admiral and all the privileges therein...Congratulations Admiral"
Everyone claps very loudly, reg cheers and Kat shreeks.
"Just dont let it go to your head remember your place and the mission at hand, you need to stay focused" adds Janeway
"I wont, ah I will, I mean...." he stutters
"Relax hahaha" cries Janeway "Go rest before the flight you'll need it Captain Reg Barkley will handle things here while you're gone, and yes it will be an admiral handing over command" she winks

"Captain Reg?" he asks
"Yes he's been Captain for sometime but I had to maintain the deception didnt I" she laughs
"Oh admiral I knew you were upto something, all this time I thought I might be in trouble, and now it all fits into place" he laughs "well thankyou so much I'll go rest now see you all on The Telaxia at 07:00" says daniels yawning as he enter the turbolift to go to his new quarters aboard the starbase.
"Good night!" everyone shouts and they all go off in their own directions to get some rest too.

Several hours have passed by and everyone, except Janeway and Reg are on The Telaxia
"All systems normal, slipstream on standyby, interface functioning within normal peramateres, if there is such a thing as normal here, permission to depart" says Daniels over the comms to the starbase

Deanna is at an engineering console on the bridge, Daniels is in the command chair and Kat is next to him in what normally would be the first officers chair.

"Permission granted Telaxia, you are go for launch" replies Reg.
"Bon Voyage Admiral, dont be away too long" says Janeway
"Wait how are we to get back once we have delivered the ship?" asks daniels wondering why he didnt think of it before.
"Check your shuttle inventory" laughs Janeway "You'll find theres one more than there should be"
"YOUR SHUTTLE!" cries daniels laughing out loud.
"Yes just be sure to get her back in 1 piece and yourselves ofcourse" replies Janeway
"I will ma'a'm, you can count on me" says daniels in fits of giggles
"Im sure I can.... Kat keep an eye on him" she winks blowing kisses at Kat onscreen.
"I will I love you mummy see you soon" shouts Kat walking upto the screen to hug it, and then sitting down again.

"Ready?" asks Deanna
"Ready" everyone says
"Moorings clear, docking clamps released, we're free flying....Admiral" replies Deanna

"Ok then here goes" says daniels nervously as he engages the neural interface linked to his command chair
"SLIPSTREAM IN 5,4,3,2.1......or atleast I thought" he says looking puzzled at Deanna

"Dont look at me" shruggs Deanna
"Kat?" he says glaring at her
"Sorry I forgot, we cant go yet! she screams
"So it was you then? he asks
She nodds "Sorry but I cant go without my violin"
"Your viol....nevermind atleast I know you can stop the engines" he laughs
"I can when I put my mind to it" she says
"She can" laughs Deanna "She just has to trust her self or want to do it"
"I know" shruggs Kat "Anyway I simply must have it, I can play for the Telaxians, I know Neelix loves Earth music, he might want me to play, I bet mummy told him all about me"

"Why cant you simply replicate one?" asks daniels

"Its not the same" replies Kat
"Admiral Daniels to Admiral Janeway" shouts daniels
"Janeway here whats wrong I thought you would be well underway now" asks Janeway
"We would only someone wants her violin" he laughs
Janeway laughs back and then says "Oh I think its still at home at HQ"

"No Matter!" shouts Kat she mutters to her self for a while and in a blinding flash WHOOOSH
There sat at the helm is her violin, her music stand and her bow.
"Now were ready!" she yells laughing

"False call Admiral we're ready, see you soon Daniels Out!"
"Good Luck, hurry home we'll keep the porch light on for you"

"Ok folks everyone sitting comfortably" he says looking around.
They all nodd "Then we shall begin"
"Huh" says Kat
Deanna just laughs and says "Can we go now please the telaxians are waiting"

"SLIPSTREAM IN 5,4,3,2,1"

A huge beaming light appears around the ship and boom the Telaxia is gone!
Gone from the stations sensors and into the slipstream event

Daniels is amazed by all the data being fed into his mind, he can see the big blue swirl surrounding the ship much the same as Deanna and Kat, but with all the data he can see so much more.
He wonders to him self, if the ship was alive is this how it would see it.

Its been severa days since Admiral Daniels was sent to deliver the USS Telaxia to Mr Neelix, soon to be titled Captain Neelix.

Admiral Janeway is still onboard the starbase awaiting their return and assisting in work.

All is pretty normal and quiet until one particular evening.
The lights all over the starbase begin to sputter, systems going on and offline for no apparent reason, replicators working them selves then recycling items they barely finished creating.

Admiral Janeway and Icheb are running diagnostics but cant find anything out of the ordinary, from the computers perspective all systems are functioning within normal peramaters.

As Janeway & Icheb are scratching their heads looking puzzled at each other Reg barges into the room frantically screaming.

"Admiral!! Admiral!! we have a problem!"
"I can see that Reg but what is it" asks Janeway
"Its the.... she's... I mean arrgghhhh" replies Reg baarely being able to start nor finish a sentance, something is really worrying him.

"What Reg or Who?" asks Janeway trying to calm Reg down.

Icheb taps the Admiral on the shoulder and points towards the command centre doors that are swung open violently.

"Its Rommy, Andromeda's A.I."

Just then Rommy walked into the command centre, her eyes filled with vengance, her body wasnt fully complete and by the looks of things something was wrong with her programming.
She stops suddenly and points at the Admiral

"YOU!!!" she shouts "You did this to me, your the first on my list!"
Turning to look at Reg who jumps infront of the Admiral
"AND YOUR NEXT!"
Reg once protecting the Admiral is now hiding behind her.

At that very moment Seven of Nine beams over from Voyager still orbiting the starbase and shouts "I am Borg, Resistance is Futile" Seven power walks over to Rommy & Battle ensues.

after disabling Rommy, she was taken back to her ship The Andromeda Ascendent.

Once the ship was complete and Rommy was intergrated properly there were no further issues, and Rommy remembers nothing.

Andromeda is undergoing final preperations but Rommy is now online and fully functional and has reported for duty.

She seems a little anxious about my pregnancy though has congratulated me anyway.

The Andromeda Ascendent was launched early to assist rescue of B'Elanna Torres.
Lets see if she holds up, work is still yet incomplete.

Admirals Log Stardate 201012.09 It has been some time since we had left Starbase 157 Alpha enroute to the Talaxian colony in the Delta Quadrant to deliver this new Galaxy vessel to the soon to be Captain Neelix. I am still in awe of the power of the slipstream drive and the interface used to control it i believe my inability to communicate was due to a form of subspace interferance caused by the drive itself, i am unsure, however Diana, the Admiral's daughter Kat and I are in good sprits. we should be making contact with Neelix shortly if all goes according to plan though any Starfleet officer knows otherwise, I believe i shal have Diana bring me some more coffe, agreed it is out of character for me, I think I need to stay alert for this, and to limit Kat's use of her powers, I dont wish to over exert her or cause her harm or to be frightened, its too much for anyone to have such a burden especially one so young. I have no clue if this will reach HQ or not but i hope it will I am having the computer run a full spectral analysis of the new drive and for any interferance to determine if any percautions need to be made. I hope to be back in contact asap

Just as Daniels was about to complete his thought a semi-worried Kat walks onto the bridge of the newly retofitted Galaxy class vessel.

"Kat! whats wrong dear," a slightly freaked out Deeana asks.

"Its mummy! She came to me in my dreams and said she was going to be away for a while..." Clearly upset Deeana goes to coddle Kat and soothe her. "Its alright dear we will be home shortly and you can wait for her return at home, with me."
"Kat I know now isnt the best time, but do you know if the Admiral said anything else," I ask.

"Ye-yea she said that ou will be in charge again while she is away and that she doesnt know how long it will be...." Kat was on the verge of tears by now.
"Kat I am sorry but you must be strong for your mother alright?" I tell her.
"I know Daniels, I know." where just like that she seems to have pepped up, "so were there than!? I get to meet Neelix?"

"Yes Kat"

"Now all hands prepare for Normal space reemergence!"
"Computer activate the View Screen!"

No sooner had the Talaxia exited slipstream and activated its view screen, they recieved a transmission from Admiral Janeway designed to automatically activate upon any Starfleet and alliance vessles it encountered.

Incomming Subspace Transmission From Admiral Janeway.
Hi folks I know its been a while since you have all heard from me.
I´ve taken The Andromeda out to explore further regions of space for us to expand into. The slipstream drive together with the vast distance makes effects communications just a little.
So I just thought I send a message to say I hope you all enjoyed the festive season, however you celebrate it, or not as the case may be, and hope you all have a great New Year, and as a little extra you are all permitted to use HQ or my own Castle Q for a New Years party, have a god one and drink plenty. Im only sorry I may not be able to attend in person, but Im hoping to be back soon. I still have a lot to do at the moment so I´d best get back to it.
Janeway Out!

With that the viewscreen briefly shows the Starfleet logo and then snaps back to open space directly infront of the Talaxian colony.

Kat smiled briefly at the mention of Neelix but was still worried about mommy's return. How long was she going to be away? Admiral Daniels had told her to be strong and that the Admiral would return as soon as she could. Kat snuggled against Deanna who held her close. "I want to meet Neelix, I do. Mommy told me about him but said I would not remember him since I was a newborn baby the last time he was around on Voyager."

We have finally succesfully reverse engineered a Mobile Emittor. Now thanks to the patience of Voyager's Doctor by allowing us to study in such detal we can now replicate the technology. The first batch of Mobile Emittors is now ready. Be sure to pick yours up along the way to your next mission or on your return to Earth.

The Sovereign has been docked at Starbase 157 Alpha for sometime when the incident with the Andromeda Ascendant and Admiral Janeway occured I ordered an emergency upgrade to her engines, that they be upgraded to Slipstream immediately in the event she be needed. Having the rescue of the admiral transpired the upgrades have been slowed to the standard pace. It is expected that the Sovereign be Slstream ready in about one week. During which time she will also be given the first of the batch of mobile emitors. For the EMH.

Aboard the Prometheus:
Admiral Tyler was still steamed that not only had the Sovergin and Defiant have to come and and cover the Premetheus, he's rather angry over his ship needing reparis.

"Sir we have an incoming message from HQ," the Comm officer said. "Frak me! What can they want, I must hurry to these repairs and be off after the Hirogen!" Tyler rplies, "On screen!" The Viewscreen snaps into action, though a bit staticly from damage to their subspace transponder, Tyler can make out a man he wasn't expecting to see.

"Captain Daniels! Excuse me for not being to happy at the moment, but what the frell do you want!? I'm rather busy and need to complete our repairs."

"Its Admiral now actually"

"Oh so you received a promotion, congratulations, now please stop wasting time and spit it out"

Admiral Daniels though expecting a not so plesant encounter was still a bit brisk with Admiral Tyler, and so while a quick rearrange of his uniform said: "You've been recalled to the new Starbase 157 Alpha. There not only will you receive a mobile emittor for your EMH, but your engines will be modified for Slipstream Drive. I must inform you that slipstream is still a bit tempermental, and as such only works properly across vast distances. Upon completion of all work I believe you will be allowed to continue on with your mission. In the mean time bring all you have gathered here and we will piece together anything missing.
Daniels out!"

And with that the viewscreen snapped back to black nothing, leaving a semi confused Tyler and the bridge in a darker lighting

Admiral Tyler wastes no time and heads out to the starbase at maximum warp.

He arrives at the starbase severl hours later where he is temporary relieved of duty and the ship upgrades commence.

The Prometheus is now awaiting turn at the starbase as The USS James Kirk is currently being upgraded.

The Prometheus drops out of warp and orbits the starbase awaiting permission to dock.

Admiral Daniels gives permission.

Admiral Janeway relieves Tyler of duty while his ship is at the starbase, and gives him some personal time.

Currently The USS James Kirk has been pushed to the front of the que for upgrades, including Portble Holo Emitters for the EMH and most importantly Slip Stream Drive.

Once completed The USS James Kirk will resume the Prometheus´s previous mission, during her absence.
