Xanxa Bartlett Besides, Urza, we don't exactly possess the gene ourselves, it's our symbionts who possess it and Kat doesn't have a symbiont. No, Urza, absolutely not, don't get any ideas!

Kathryn Janeway I over hear in my mind Kats excitement of flying in the puddle jumper, though its making me a little dizzy.
Kat is unaware of the meaning of what Xanxa and Urza have just spoke of, which is a relief as I wouldnt want her to panick alone.
But I fully trust Lady Xanxa & Lord Urza in care of Kat

I have every confidence that things are fine Im just really allowing Kat to hear my voice to keep her calm, though probably not needed as she is blissfully unaware.

OOC: to continue the updates from the party would be rather lengthy at the moment, but surfice to say the evening was a blast ad we´ve now moved onto the mission briefing beginnings.

Kathryn Janeway
Its 08.30 hours, Myself, Rommy & Kat are making our way to the command centre of the starbase, to attend the mission briefing and then to set off on our missions.
Im a little worried for Kat, I told her last night about the discovery of her brother Brendan of Nine. Im not sure how she is taking it, but I know last night she didnt sleep very well, I could hear her pacing up and down in her room. But maybe Im worrying for nothing, perhaps the pacing was either over excitement left from the party, or pre excitement of today.
Im wondering if I should ask her about it, or leave it until she approaches me. I think for now I will leave it, I sense no real worries from her about Brendan, so perhaps it is just pre launch jitters and excitement.

We are arranging the conference table in the command centre, and setting up the displays and data padd´s awaiting the commanders of each vessel to arrive and begin the briefing.
Kat has put her chair right next to mine, I smile sweetly at her and nod my head.
She places Rommy´s seat next to her on the other side, "I think she wants to sit inbetween us both bless her", I think to my self and again smile.

I have asked Commander Brendan of Nine to attend as the acting Captain of the Bellerophon whilst I attend for the Base itself, if the Admiral approves.

*Taps combadge* "Daniels to Admiral Janeway, for the mission briefing i would like it if Brendan of Nine could attend, if it is not going to be any interference with anything, or if it would be to uncomfortable for Kat."

"Janeway to Admiral Daniels Adama, message received, no problem Admiral I will inform the commander. I was hoping you would finish the mission, but I guess you did your part by handing Mr Neelix his ship and promoting him to captain, and well the base does need its commanding officer. Take care of The Andromeda Ascendent ship self until we return, she is accompanying us, so no doubt she will keep Kat busy, so the commander shouldnt be a problem, though I dont think he is anyway really it was just a shock, you know how she is with surprises..... oh Rommy says she wants her hull shiny & clean when we get back haha.... Janeway Out!"

After talking to Admiral Adama, my plans for the missions have changed slightly, but not so much to worry, looks like I will be doing more than showing a friendly face in the Delta Quadrant, it looks like I will be leading the mission.
Ah the good old days, I laugh to my self.

The Mission Briefing:-

(ooc: sorry about what happened in the fb group, unfortunately it was out of my control, luckily we had only just begun the briefing and not much was lost, so continuing on from where all ships commanding officers and allies have arrived)

IC:

"Good morning all, so glad you could make it. This is officially the first in what I hope to be many a mission together as the new universal family federation."

I pause to look around the room as everyone smiles and claps.

"If you will all look at the data P.A.D.D.´s infront of you, you will see in detail your specific ship mission duties, and you can then relay those instructions to your crew and carry them out as best you see fit. I will however go over a brief here to explain the various missions now at hand."

Everyone is looking at their P.A.D.D.´s and nodding. Some looking shocked and dazzled and eager to get underway.

"Its my hope today that as we leave, we can all leave at exactly the same time and show as dazzling array of multiple slipstream events. One because it seems fitting to have it that way, but two, because Admiral Daniels Adama is remaining behind at this starbase and wants to capture a few images for posterity as we all depart..." People giggle and clap "...Now lets get down to business"

I say as I slap my P.A.D.D. on the desk and walk over to the larger display wall

Turning to Admiral Owen Paris and turning on the view screen I say
"Admiral Paris, you and the USS Luna will head out to the nearest region of the Andromeda Galaxy..."
Both Rommy and Owen laugh at this.
"There your mission is simple, but simple doesnt mean safe, so be ware."

Admiral Paris nodds and says "I wasnt born yesterday Admiral, we´ll be fine"

I continue "your mission is ...To exlpore unchartered parts of the universe, most specifically the outer regions of the Andromeda Galaxy. By the outer regions I mean the edge closest to us for now, we can go deeper later, or should your mission require it, during your findings.
To observe the region and conduct scientific research. Check out but avoid engagement with possible enemies.
Seek out new life and possibility of establishing a federation base in the region. And seek out possible allies....." I look at Admiral Paris checking his P.A.D.D. and nodding periodically looking up at the viewscreen
"...any questions....no ok onto the next"

Admiral Grayson raises her hand and says "Admiral surely they arent going alone"

"Dont worry Admiral, the Luna is a tough ship and Owen is an excellent commander, they will be able to handle them selves" I reply

"Yes but so far out alone, what if something happens to them?" Grayson asks

"Well thats where slipstream and the new universal communications comes in handy, sadly for now its the only vessel we can spare, the others are still being upgraded. And most are going on the mission Im about to explain now" I answer assuringly.

"Ok folks, Lady Xanxa, Lord Urza, Admiral Grayson, Myself and temporary Captain of the Bellerophon, Commander Brendan of Nine...."

Admiral Grayson raises her hand again "yes Amanda?" I say with a raised eyebrow and smiling.

"What about Admiral Daniels Adama, you havent mentioned him and why is the Commander being temporarily promoted?" Admiral Grayson asks.

"Admiral Adama, has decided to remain here at the starbase and take care of things here, and allow the Commander to take temporary command during this next mission, he wants to try and push up the upgrade time of remaining vessels" I explain

"Ah I see, just wondering thats all" grayson laughs nodding.
"Any more questions?" I giggle
Grayson shakes her head and quickly hides behind her P.A.D.D. laughing.

"Ok the mission..." I continue trying not to laugh as everyone else is now starting to chuckle
"you all know that Admiral Adama went to the Delta Quadrant, most specifically to the Talaxian Asteroid colony and handed Mr Neelix a renamed Galaxy class starship, and promoted him to captain and his crew the colony."

Everyone nodds

"Captain Neelix and the colonists are going to try and take back their homeworld, that was taken from them many years ago in a vicious war, we´re hoping there wont be much of a fight, mostly diplomatic, but were going as a team to ensure safety, and back up if needed."

Slightly looking worried everyone still is nodding, following my words.

"Admiral Grayson will be attending with the Defiant and Admiral Niedrich, but her main role here it to establish a perminant base in the delta quadrant with her new station Deep Space 11."

"The mission is simply called Task Force....." I point to the viewscreen and everyone looks at it and their P.A.D.D.´s to see the details.

Taskforce To Delta Quadrant.
Mission brief.
The task force is to rendevous with the USS Talaxia TDX-001 at the Talaxian colony on the asteroid.
There they will accompany Captain Neelix, promoted from ambassador by Admiral Daniels Adama, to the Talaxian homeworld,
in an attempt to allow the Talaxians to reclaim their world occupied by the neighbour species the Haakonian´s in a fierce interplanetary war.
Once the immediate mission is complete the remaining vessels in the Delta Quadrant will be.
Deep Space 11, commanded by Admiral Amanda Grayson & Admiral Bill Niedrich.
USS Defiant NX-74205, part of DS11, commanded by Admiral Amanda Grayson & Admiral Bill Niedrich.
USS Talaxia TXD-001, Commanded by Captain Neelix and crewed by the talaxian colony members and home world members, under fleet command of Admiral Grayson.

All other vessels will return to the Alpha Quadrant and await new orders, unless new orders have been given while in the Delta Quadrant.

USS Belerophon NCC-74705 Admiral Daniels Adama, commanding the Bellerophon and leader of the task force.
USS Voyager NCC-74656 Admiral Kathryn Janeway commanding Voyager, showing a familiar face, then returning home to take The Andromeda on an exploration mission.
USS Talaxia TXD-001 Captain Neelix (made up) first perminant vessel in the Delta Quadrant. Will then report to Admiral Grayson after mission completion.
The Whitestar Paladine (or another of ships in Xanaxa´a fleet or both) commanded by either xanxa or selmak or both. Will return to HQ with all returning vessels upon mission completion unless ordered otherwise.
Deep Space 11 Admiral Amanda Grayson & Admiral Bill Niedrich Commanding. Will be a perminant deep space base station in the Delta Quadrant.
USS Defiant NX-74205 Admiral Amanda Grayson & Admiral Bill Niedrich Commanding. Will be a perminant ship in the Delta Quadrant.
USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E Captain Steven Eagan. Will return home upon mission completion unless further orders have been given.

Admiral Grayson rises her hand again and laughs very loud and points at the misinformation in the briefing

"Yes Amanda I know, I only found out a few, moments ago and hadnt changed the brief. Instead of simply showing a familiar face in the Delta Quadrant, I will instead be leading the task force from Voyager, and commander Brendan of Nine, as pointed out earlier will take command of the Bellerophon as acting Captain"

"Once we depart, control over that region will fall to your command Admiral Grayson, with Eric Behel as ds11´s first officer and Admiral Niedrich in command of the Defiant, under your overall command in that quadrant.... bar me ofcourse"

I look around the room, it seems everyone has understood so far.

"If there are no more questions......" I pause
".....All crews report to your ships and prepare for launch at 11 hundred hours, thankyou and Dismissed!"
